The Origins of Special Operations Warfare

Purpose

The Origin of Special Operations Warfare (TOSOW) Code of Ethics applies to all areas of our website, forums, game servers, in-game branches, chat systems, our voice chat servers, or any other area that belongs to The Origin of Special Operations Warfare. The Code of Ethics establishes the moral principles and standards that guide behavior within the TOSOW Gaming Community. It ensures all members act with integrity, respect, and responsibility.

Violations of this Code of Ethics will lead to enforcement of our Disciplinary Action Policy and can ultimately lead to dismissal from The Origin of Special Operations Warfare community and all games, groups, or other areas in which we participate as a community in name or action, both official and unofficial.


Section 1: Respect for Others

• Treat all individuals with fairness, dignity, and respect.

• Embrace diversity and reject discrimination in all forms.

• Avoid toxic behavior, including harassment, bullying, or intimidation.

Section 2: Integrity and Fair Play

• Compete honestly and avoid cheating, exploiting, or manipulating game systems.

• Be truthful in communication and representation.

• Honor commitments to teams, events, and community activities.

Section 3: Accountability

• Take responsibility for actions and their consequences.

• Accept feedback and corrective actions from moderators or administrators.

• Report unethical behavior when observed.

Section 4: Positive Community Engagement

• Contribute to a welcoming and supportive environment.

• Encourage teamwork, mentorship, and collaboration.

• Represent the SOW Gaming Community positively both internally and externally.

Section 5: Responsible Communication

• Communicate respectfully in all channels (text, voice, and social media).

• Avoid spreading misinformation, rumors, or harmful content.

• Respect privacy and confidentiality of others.

Section 6: Leadership Responsibility

• Leaders (admins/mods) must model ethical behavior at all times.

• Make fair, unbiased decisions in enforcement and conflict resolution.

• Maintain transparency where appropriate while protecting privacy.

Section 7: Conflict Resolution

• Address disagreements calmly and respectfully.

• Seek mediation from moderators when necessary.

• Avoid escalating conflicts or engaging in public disputes.

Section 8: Digital Responsibility

• Protect personal and community data.

• Avoid sharing unauthorized content or engaging in malicious activities.

• Uphold platform terms of service and legal requirements.

Section 9: Enforcement

• Violations of this Code of Ethics may result in disciplinary action as outlined in the SOP.

• Repeated or severe violations may lead to removal from the community.

Section 10: Commitment

• All members are expected to uphold this Code of Ethics and contribute to maintaining a respectful and ethical gaming environment.

IMPORTANT!!


Repeated violations of this Code of Ethics, SOP or any policies usually will result in permanent termination of forum privileges or community membership.

The policy applies to all languages, on all forums.
